I love the framing on this shot GJC! From the relative peacefullness on the fore of the shot to the clutter of everyday life once you pass through the gateway! Well done! ;-)

@Eric Cousineau: Thank you very much. That was what I hoped to convey.
Yes the framing is wonderful, and the feeling I get here really does rush with a feeling of looking out and experiencing that feeling of being in a glass bowl observing the rest of the world whie I am still within the paradise povided by the glass bowl...Just beautiful, GJC. Really sorry I have not had much chance to comment for quite awhile but I always try to make it part of my day to review your images when I can...WHEN i can't I go back and see what I missed...:-) Hugs to you and the family :-) dj

@Denny Jump Photo: NO APOLOGIES. We are all busy. I am happy for your visits, even if just to take a look without leaving a comment.
Oh, my gracious, is this right outside the shrine? If so, what dichotomy!

@Judy aka L@dybug: Yes, this is just outside the shrine. I was also struck by the dichotomy.
Light of the city in the early morning for more tranquility!

I've probably not been on that street but, it look so familiar. A lovely shot.

@Steve Rice: Yes, many streets in urban Japan look pretty similar...
Going back into the world can be a shock!
