Harvest Fields

Posted by
GJC (Kyoto, Japan) on 17 September 2012 in Landscape & Rural.

I eat rice every day. I also get to watch the farmers as they work hard to bring it to our table. If you click on the tag for rice you will see that they have not only fed me, but they have also inspired me with their labor. So as they bring in the harvest, I dedicate the images of this and next week to them.

Your rice themes have transformed my own understanding of the product - I think I imagined it grew in packets !

Thanks for the image - I also eat rice (almost) every day and I hadn't seen it like this before. There is a lot more rice on each plant than I imagined.

I took a look at all your photos under "rice" - a beautiful, colourful collection of rice fields in various seasons and stages of development. I do not eat rice every day, BUT...I like to watch the rice paddies in the nearby "satoyama".
