Preparations「準備」

We will go back now to the rice farmers...All these photos were taken about 2 weeks ago. The rice is now all planted and growing beautifully.

Here we see rice seedlings that are grown by professional growers and then purchased by farmers. They are embedded in a kind of mat that allows them to be easily fitted into the rice planting machine that then does the hard work.

Headwear seems to be gendered. I have never seen a woman wearing the kind of straw hat you see on the wheelbarrow here; they usually stick to the old-fashioned sun bonnets, like you see here, or even more traditional, a cloth wrapped around the head.
