Beautiful Shinto shrine; I love the red and white, happy decorations.

I expect to see the figure more traditional - but I'm guessing the gods at the Stone Seat Shrine do not worry too much about how we dress . . they see only the heart.

@Ronnie 2¢: Indeed, going to see the gods at any shrine is not usually something like going to church in the UK, a time set apart from the rest of the week or day. As you walk by you may stop in to offer a prayer and then continue on your way. My wife (pictured here) and I were on a walk together and she stopped along the way and then we continued on our walk.
A wonderfully intimate and personal moment you have captured here GJC! Well done! ;-)

thank you for your wonderful, peaceful photos. I have been lucky enough to visit Japan and Kyoto, and feel every day that I am getting a quiet visit there again with your photos.

I like the brown tonality, so warm and welcoming! The white and red are happy accents to lead thoughts and prayers to the positive outlook on daily life....
