A Taste for Tea

These two bamboo tools are used in the tea ceremony. One is a tea scoop (chashaku; 茶杓) and is used to to transfer the powdered tea into the bowl. The other is a whisk (chasen; 茶筅) and is used to whip the powdered tea into the hot water.
