I find this view very picturesque! Look at those bearded irises blooming on the right! And the river/creek flowing by....It reminds me of the area I saw in documetaries from the Kyoto surroundings where Venetia Stanley-Smith lives, in an old farmhouse that has been refurbished. (Are you familiar with her broadcasts? And the English school she seems to have in Kyoto?)

I'm always impressed by the production these farmers get from their fields no matter how small. The tiller does look to take some of the drudgery out of the work.
