Intriguing . . and the mention of Kyouto, Nara and Osaka has not helped me understand but I can still enjoy !

A wonderfully complex set of textures and colours in this shot GJC! Well seen and captured! ;-)

Wow Eric is absolutely right! This is a dynamic array. The firmness of all, save the curtains, blowing in the breeze...that stillness vs the movement create a puzzle for the mind...a delightful and entertaining puzzle. The colors intrigue, there is so much to see and enjoy, yet we return to the curtains gently moving...like a willow tree in the breeze....Awesome!

@Denny Jump Photo: Thank you for your kind comment. I find that I take similar pictures many times over, where there is a combination of great stillness and also some movement.
What a beautiful soft moment. I love the billowing cloth.

Superb composition. I love the drapes delicately painted by expert hands, the soft wind is moving. Well. I picture them painted may have been embroidered with silk thread! A hug, Adela

Such a small detail like the drapes can add so much to the picture. Beautiful.

The Japanese have such an amazing sense of beauty, specially also in the wooden architecture! Wonderful image!
