My homage to Kawase Hasui (川瀬 巴水) one of the great woodblock print masters of the early 20th century who was especially famous for his scenes of snow.
superb picture, the falling snow is well captured, the woman and the umbrella is a very nice detail

What a presence in the snow is that wall! And a pleasant contrast to the white of the falling snow...The walking umbrella is just the transient world.....

I checked on Google and found out that I was familiar with some of his works without knowing the name of the artist!

@Japanalia: Yes, he is quite famous. I own a few reproductions and I find him coming to my mind often as I take photos. He seems to have been a rather large influence on me!

The old wall is fantastic but what makes this picture superb is that old woman.

Strange colour cast but still a very good capture exhibiting everything we expect of a tough winter.

Love the mood in this image, the cold weather, the distant person, the snow falling. Great image!
