A real Kyoto "maiko" (舞子; a geisha in training) at Yasaka Shrine. Note the "Hello Kitty" bag, a reminder that maiko, despite the unique world they live in, are still a lot like many other young ladies their age.

I took this while almost running by and I didn't want to bother her, so the quality isn't the best, but I thought you might be interested to see this anyway.
