This image tells a lovely story of long standing tradition and customs- it is so simply and beautifully composed. I absolutely love it. This would have gotten an A in the class I am taking this week about narrative and storytelling in an image!

Oh so you already have cherry blossoms! Here we have a lot of ornamental cherry trees from Japan but they blossom in April. It is still very much winter here!

@Sugata: Actually, these are plum blossoms. Like where you are, the cherry trees won't bloom until April, so stay tuned ....
The blossoms are so fine and gentle-looking--especially to those of us who have looked on nothing but ice and snow for months on end! Beautiful spring series!

What a rich image. I'm intrigued by the approaching figure in the background. It adds a startling component to the cascading blossoms.
