Old Friends

Posted by
GJC (Kyoto, Japan) on 23 February 2010 in People & Portrait.

I never feel comfortable taking photos of people I don't know. They can get really angry! In fact, as soon as I raised my camera to take a photo of the two monks from Friday's photo they started growling at me, so I ended up with a photo from behind.

But these two old friends were having such a warm time with their cups of tea, their conversation and the lovely plum blossoms that I couldn't resist and they didn't seem to mind. Perhaps it's the influence of the beautiful flowers and the anticipation of spring.
