Wet

We continue to have a very wet summer. The news yesterday announced that it was the longest rainy season on record. There are, of course, many significant problems with a long rainy season, both for farmers and for those living in areas prone to flooding and landslides. One of the more minor difficulties, however, is laundry. In Japan almost no one owns a clothes dryer. Instead we hang clothes out to dry like you see here. But instead of drying they simply stew in the sticky steam.
