My wife's kimono and under-kimono ("nagajuban" 長襦袢) hung to get out the wrinkles before tea ceremony today.
What a beautiful garment.

Your wife has a really gorgeous kimono... I love the color and the small details of the flowers... You should take some pictures of the details of the tea ceremony (i.e. hands, teapots, tools, matcha pot).
Unrelated to this image, why do you say "humiliate yourself" in relation to your submission to the awards?

This is so tender and intimate. And isn't it great to get a post without having to leave the comfort of your own home!?

Lovely tones. And you didn't humiliate yourself... you deserve to be nominated for the awards.

All things Japanese intrigue me so. This is a lovely image, a glimpse of your wife's beautiful kimono. I hope you capture some of the tea ceremony. Well done, GJC!

What a gorgeous kimono. Those flowers are exquisite. It's so simple and at the same time it's so rich. The hint of shadow on it is rather beautiful also.
