Yoshida Hiroshi (吉田 博) Tribute: Rainy Day Prayer

Posted by
GJC (Kyoto, Japan) on 16 October 2008 in Lifestyle & Culture.

Yoshida Hiroshi was one of the great woodblock print artists of the "shin-hanga" or "new prints" movement in the years before and after WWII. You can read more about him and see some of his work here. He is one of my very favorites.

Thanks to all who leave such warm and encouraging comments. They really mean a lot to me. I'm sorry that I've been so busy at work lately that I've been slow to visit your blogs, something I very much look forward to.
