Summer Rice Field, 4

Posted by
GJC (Kyoto, Japan) on 8 August 2008 in Landscape & Rural.

More rice fields today. Same as yesterday's field, but different angle.
I am trying to make a conscious effort to take more shots in landscape orientation rather than always in vertical format. I find I'm losing the ability to compose in horizontal format! Practice, practice, practice . . .

Your practice works out nicely here, GJC! Even though I must admit that this scene would be vertical with me ;-)

Great composition! The lines of the ricefield draw your eyes into the picture towards the house and the colors are amazing!

I like this horizontal photo! Practice is the key. I like the lines--vertical, horizontal and diagonal. And, of course, the fabulous green.

I just can't get over the intensity of the green. It must be very beautiful there. I love the photos that give a glimpse of another world.

Nice series with beautiful photos. It seems to be the movie of Hayao Miyazaki. And I want to eat Onigiri:)

This is a feast for the eyes! You run along the lines, hither and thither on the green, and finally stop at the upper edge to find the houses.Would make a great spot in a magazine about Japanese summer!
