First in a short series of the rainy season in my part of Kyoto: Iwakura. Enjoy.
I like the roof and the colors.

Fascinating how that cloud/fog is hanging just behind the building to allow a clear view of the beautiful roof! Gives a very mysterious feel!

What a great composition. Simplicity meets a dramatic sky here. Nice!

I've noticed that seasons in Japan have very intense tonalities... I must go there ! In Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter. At each season, buildings, temples, landscapes, there is beauty.

Wow, that is great, GJC. I love the tones and all the lines on the roof. I would like to see another image with wide angle which shows you taking this image.

This is one of those shots that are such a surprise when they load. As you see it coming top down it is just intriguing. I love the overall softness given by the mist supporting the roof.

Thanks a lot for your nice comment on my last post and for commenting on my new blog ;-) - I like this shot very much because it's so simple: Just the roof, the clouds and the hill. What else do you need?

I saw these misty mountains in the European Alps, I miss them so much in our country. The wetness is stressed by the shiny roof, also great composition as usual.
