My wife tying the obi belt on her summer kimono (called a yukata; ゆかた) before heading out for the Gion Festival.
What a beautiful shot. Lovely showing the action of tying the belt with the detail of this wonderful fabric. These little rituals of life make life so sweet.

This is really wonderful! I love the colors, and the texture of the fabric- But what really makes this special is her hands!

Did you go out for the 祇園祭 with your wife ? I did with some of my friends on Friday 宵山, but I got separated from them in the crowd. I took only ten minutes to be unable to find them. What a crowd !

You did get the action well! Yukata has a beautiful blue and the patterns are...nadeshiko!
