Starting today, I'll post photos of the mix of traditional and modern structures to be found in downtown Kyoto. To be honest, I always root for these little old places although I'm sure they're not so comfortable or convenient to live in. But their continued presence is a pleasing reassurance of the diversity of our humanity.
