Have enjoyed photos from DK all week--Dance of the Chandeliers, the glass, Copenhagen at dusk and now this lovely, well-composed image, right out of Hans Christian Andersen fairytale--and from his native Fyen as well. The water lilies in the pond add to this fantasy, the castle remote and both forbidding and inviting in the distance, while the shadows and even the pond suggest hidden dangers and gloom, the sunshine and the (unusual) summer weather notwithstanding.

Wow, the colour really brings out that beautiful summer light and the intense feeling conveyed by the secret stillness of the water lilied pond inspires images in my mind of myth and magic, lovely work.

Agree with Yiannis – seems magical especially the water with the lily pads as if from a fairy tale. You have invoked the magic by including all the essentials to reveal those aspects of the place.
