Recently I had the opportunity to travel to Denmark (Copenhagen and Nyborg). So for the next little while we'll take a break from Japanese temples and shrines and I'll show you a few scenes from the trip. Those of you who follow this blog, however, can guess already that on Yakumo's World Denmark will look a little like Japan anyway ....

It's not that it looks like Japan so much as that you have a unique style so even though you are photographing Denmark the photograph is imbued with your style, and shows the things you like to photograph and how (including water!). I think there's probably a Japanese influence in that it reminds me of the little Zen gardens in its formal beauty , I don't know enough about japanese art to be able to explain it.

Wow! Gorgeous blue! And it is very natural that Denmark will look like Japan on this blog... we like to carry the memories of our motherland along with us and try to see our country in whichever place we visit.

The sapphire blue of the sky and water is only separated by a narrow line and the dot of red to identify Denmark. It is a very abstract image where the texture of the water and gradation of the sky become the most important factors. A very strong design and composition…

BLUE! Normally your images are GREEN! ;0) Love the simplistic feel of the shot. It is right with your style. I would like it better (I think) if the horizon was a bit higher or lower. It seems to slice the image in half and lessen the tension between earth and sky. I hope it is okay to say that!
