mo.langel from Courtelary, SwitzerlandTrès belles couleurs! Bel effet de vent avec ce léger flou! 8 Apr 2009 5:37am Hoai Bao - Journal of Photography from San Francisco, United StatesLovely colors, great shot. 8 Apr 2009 5:47am cat from Tel Aviv, IsraelThis and the previous photograph really give a sense of time elapsing, slowly. The temple is anchored and the papers and the red cloth are gently swaying. It's a fantastic effect. The red is beautifully done and provides continuity with the last image too. 8 Apr 2009 5:53am Stu from Kyoto, JapanSuch wonderul colours, textures and composition. It really draws me in somehow. 8 Apr 2009 11:51am Marcie from United StatesLove the rich colors and tones and composition. Well seen and captured. 8 Apr 2009 12:12pm Hiro from Kyoto, Japan1/8秒といのがきっといいのでしょうね。私だったらもっと遅くしてしまいそうですが、そうするとわざとらしくなるのでしょうね。 8 Apr 2009 12:56pm Roman from Thunder Bay, CanadaBeautiful composition and colors. Now I know about the paper but the red... robe??? what is it? cheers 8 Apr 2009 4:35pm @Roman: Thanks for the comment and visit. The red is a bunch of cloth streamers that are attached to a brass bell at the top. To get the god's attention before making your prayer, you need to use those streamers to ring the bell. Once the god's attention is focused, you may make your prayer. Richard_Irwin from Belper, United KingdomTrue motion of spirits, the intensity of the red is particularly appealing. 8 Apr 2009 4:43pm daina from New York, United StatesMy first thought was of a Cardinal’s robes and how red is symbolic of power and also danger at least in the west. Here one wants to look past it – to push it aside to fully see the interior and also the white object behind it. (which also feels like a representation of a figure.) The spirits move indeed even if one has no understanding of the real significance of these elements. A strong image… 8 Apr 2009 4:49pm Ilan from IsraelSo simple, yet so colorful. 8 Apr 2009 4:56pm Phototherapy from SwitzerlandYou made a jewel here. The form is just perfect and the meanings are rich, offering many different readings. 8 Apr 2009 5:30pm Steve Rice from Olympia, United StatesSo completely beautiful. This image is outstanding! 8 Apr 2009 6:19pm Howard F. from South Pasadena, Calif., United StatesHaha, could your visit conjure up an invisible force? Nice shot. 8 Apr 2009 9:48pm michele from Canadaaptly titled - the sense of movement is very strong here. the red reminds me of robes as well and the sunlight in the background on the left is exquisite. this is just delightful. 9 Apr 2009 1:47am Anita from West Nottingham, United StatesBeautifully composed! Lovely colors and light. 9 Apr 2009 10:39am Ian from United KingdomGoodness, talk about melting! It would be the wooden steps that do it for me, straight away - so quietly understated with the even, unintrusive light. Great to see, more obviously, the red taking centrestage but my eye is repeatedly drawn to the fabulous shaft of sunlight to its left. 9 Apr 2009 11:14am Roman from Thunder Bay, Canadathanks for the explanation... Japanese people are so... practical, of course you need to get god's attention first, why waste time if he's not listening... such a rich culture... cheers 9 Apr 2009 11:31am Sugata from Newark, United StatesI always love your motion blurs! This is no exception. 10 Apr 2009 2:53pm |
