Iwakura Jisso-in Temple (岩倉実相院), SundownPosted by GJC (Kyoto (京都), Japan) on 19 March 2009 in Lifestyle & Culture. We are currently suffering from storms of fine yellow sand (called kosa; 黄砂 in Japanese) that blow in every year from the deserts in China. They cause all sorts of respiratory problems and give me terrible headaches, but they also made for this spectacular light in the late afternoon two days ago. A mixed blessing.
