February Sky, Late Afternoon

I dedicate this one to an outstanding blog by Daina, called Imagediary. This isn't as good as what you'll find there, but for some reason when I saw this scene as I was walking home (and I had my camera with me -- yes!) it made me think of Daina.

I love that blue! It's the sort of blue sky that I want to look at and look at because I can't believe it's real. (That's what growing up in England does to you.) The tree and the clouds seem in harmony, balancing each other. I can see why you thought of Daina's work, something about the patterns all coming together in that split second you pressed the shutter.

in this image there seems so much visual sympathy between the waving tree branches and the puffy clouds.

Beautiful shot, light and colors. It nice that the clouds are drawing shapes like the branches of that tree. A blue sky only wouldn't have work so well.
