Nathan from Los Angeles, United StatesI totally agree with the first comment. Also I just love all the textures and that wonderful warm color juxtaposed with the deep shadows. 15 Feb 2009 7:37am Observing from West Cheshire, United KingdomI really like the rich colored wood with the green garden beyond, a super shot. 15 Feb 2009 9:56am Giovanni from Milan, ItalyWonderful tones and textures! Love the composition and the vertical framing. Absolutely beautiful! 15 Feb 2009 10:00am Mirko Herzner from Mühlheim am Main, GermanyThis one goes straight into my VFXY collection. Amazing shot! 15 Feb 2009 10:36am Michael Skorulski from Cigel, SlovakiaA really beautiful composition. With lovely textures and materials. 15 Feb 2009 12:32pm Robert Kruh from SloveniaAmazing! Fascinating colours and shadows! Composition is perfect, great look. Congratulations! 15 Feb 2009 2:55pm daina from New York, United StatesThe division of space into “fragments” of almost equal proportion gives it a feeling of permanence, yet the directional lines also give it movement within that space. The flat simple areas of light inside contrast beautifully with the sliver of elaborate vegetation outside. As you can tell I like this composition very much. 15 Feb 2009 3:14pm Steve Rice from Olympia, United StatesThis is a gorgeous composition. The light, of course, is marvelous. 15 Feb 2009 5:48pm mo.langel from Courtelary, SwitzerlandMagnifique! J'adore la couleur, le cadrage, la lumière! Tout! Bravo! 15 Feb 2009 6:41pm Phototherapy from SwitzerlandI like the warm colors and the perspective of the corridor, without end! 15 Feb 2009 8:46pm Ron from Saint Louis, United StatesA magnificent image, GJC ... the segmentation of contrasting elements is exquisite ... I am particularly drawn to the way the light is falling on the post and the warm, rich tones there ... one of my favorites of your beautiful portfolio of work ... ron 16 Feb 2009 12:04am Brian from Seattle, United StatesThe lighting in this photograph is just magnificent. There is also very nice tonal range here. 16 Feb 2009 12:08am akarui from Kagoshima, JapanI love the perspective of the tatamis and the textures of the wood, iron with the tatamis. I am less enthousiast about the vegetation may be because of vertical framing and the big difference between the half left and the half right (simplicity then complexity) 16 Feb 2009 12:22am bluechameleon from Vancouver, CanadaThe light and colours are just amazing...what a beautiful point of view! 16 Feb 2009 2:25am Howard F. from South Pasadena, Calif., United StatesVery nice! With such a beautiful interior I don't think I want to go outside :) 16 Feb 2009 6:45pm Lunamania from Oakland, United StatesI can smell the tatami. Your pictures always make me miss Japan. Great light and that bit of green is great. 17 Feb 2009 4:45am michele from Canadathis image combined with your description on the next image give me a sense of what it must have been like for the original designer to walk through this area to his garden. the image stands on it's own as thoughtful and beautiful. it's also nice to have some background information to add to the appreciation. 17 Feb 2009 10:05pm Laurent from Lyon, Franceso beautiful light on so pleasant textures. 19 Feb 2009 8:21pm |
