RegensburgPosted by GJC (Kyoto (京都), Japan) on 4 January 2009 in Abstract & Conceptual. I'm still not sure I framed this one just right, but while walking down this street I was immediately struck by the strong graphics of this house, wall, and tree.

EYES WIDE SHUT from The library of my soul, United KingdomThose limb-like branches against the green paint work superbly, and I can see what struck you. The textures and colours are amazing 4 Jan 2009 10:41am Lorraine from Gatineau, CanadaDon't change, EVER...I love the textures, the colour combination, the angle the compo....that green and oh majestic tree, it's fantastic 4 Jan 2009 12:04pm daina from United StatesStrong graphics is your middle name :} Terrific color, texture and design. 4 Jan 2009 3:44pm Jasp from Plymouth, United KingdomMany pictures in one to me.... the bold colours... the face formed by the windows .. nature and man made... 4 Jan 2009 6:36pm Steve Rice from Olympia, United StatesLove those soft colors. What a gorgeous composition. A really nice one. 4 Jan 2009 6:41pm Richard_Irwin from Belper, United KingdomIt has a certain elegance about it, in that the structures stand tall and strong, and the colours seem so complementary, nice work. 4 Jan 2009 9:40pm Pixim from Nice, FranceI appreciate much framing and the composition of the shot, our reference marks are set up. You found a little nature (this tree) leaned with the architecture which encircles it, the colors are pastels and you knew to take best of the conditions ;) 4 Jan 2009 11:31pm beanow from PolandVery nice the composition, but the also unusually interesting colouring. 4 Jan 2009 11:33pm grant from kansas city, United Statesi love these big blocks of pale color. excellent composition! 5 Jan 2009 2:35am Dunedim from Zaragoza, SpainLovely coloured frame the only thing I would have done is to miss the corner of the building. 5 Jan 2009 3:54pm Howard F. from South Pasadena, Calif., United StatesAgain, two different parts of the planet but your skill capturing the quiet corners of a city stays the same. Awesome shot! 5 Jan 2009 8:32pm Damon Schreiber from Toronto, CanadaHa - if you can't frame it right, no one can. I'm not sure what I would have done. Love that aqua colour. 6 Jan 2009 3:25am willow from Chelsea, United StatesI see why you took this image - the angles and lines are great no matter how you frame it. 6 Jan 2009 5:37pm Anita from West Nottingham, United StatesYou have a great eye for such graphics! I'm delighted to see you finding them everywhere you go. 7 Jan 2009 12:41pm michele from Canadai see what you mean about the framing - but this is a tough situation. if you cropped the building edge out and the half seen windows you loose the wall edge and there's a nice angle there. i think the best choice is to leave it as it is or crop a ton out like the thumbnail here. like others i like the boldness of this one. 7 Jan 2009 6:33pm akarui from Kagoshima, JapanNice graphism and colors indeed. The picture works vrey well as it is, it can be also simplified by a crop just at the angle of the house (on the right). I might crop about 1cm at the bottom to reduce the grey triangle of the road, this corner is the only problem that I find in the actual picture. 10 Jan 2009 2:17am |
