Quiet Snow

My wife and I are back in Kyoto from our Christmas holiday in Germany. We had a fabulous time, and I'll post a few photos from the trip shortly. I wanted to thank all of you who visited in my absence. I'm so flattered! I am very much looking forward to catching up with your blogs as I get settled back in. Thanks again and best holiday wishes to you all.

No snow here in Kyoto yet, by the way; I took this last year.

wonderful image of gentleness.. i find it interesting that all the japanese snowfall images i have seen never feel harsh or bitter. they are gentle and quiet. jim

Welcome back.
Beautiful image. Love the effect of the falling snow--gives it an abstract or painterly feel. The muted colors work well. I also like the shapes of the rocks mirrored in the shapes of the trees. Lovely!
