Kimono (着物), 3

Tying the obijime (帯締) after which the pink cloth on top (called an obiage [帯揚げ]) will be tucked in underneath the red obi sash and the lower pink tie is removed.

The thing I think is clever about this series - apart from the beauty of the subject and tradition - is that in each picture, you seem to reveal more about the woman in the kimono. There's a sense of something taking shape over the series.

Beautiful color. Her kimono looks well-made. My wife has worn a kimono before and said it is quite comfortable, but very time consuming to get all the details correct.

@Howard F.: Thanks for the comment and the visit. Indeed, this kimono is from a famous Kyoto shop and was, well, expensive. It's a fine piece of craft, however, and the grace and elegance is worth everything. And, yes, the details of style, color and the like are mind-bogglingly complicated.
