I love this image. When we were in Kyoto, my wife and I saw a lady giving a class on how to tie the obi in a department store. We watched for quite a while; it was fascinating. There were lots of ladies, of all ages, watching the instructor show how it's done.
I had a student in Hiroshima who worked in a fancy restaurant. She had to wear a Kimono for work. For her tying the obi was no big deal since she did it often and enjoyed wearing the kimono.

Nice simple composition. The kimono is a art like almost everything else in Japan. I love the fade from green to orange on the cord (I don't know what it is called). Such detail.
