Harmony in Green: Temple GatePosted by GJC (Kyoto (京都), Japan) on 19 October 2008 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio. My Nikon adores green and on this rainy day the Nikon was, I think, just showing off. But I confess I was pretty happy with what it gave me.

Lovely photo. 19 Oct 2008 2:14pm daina from New York, United StatesAs others have stated it has a fantasy feel to it. It feels like a secret place that one could only come upon in a mystical way. The composition is wonderful and original. The curve of the branch is unexpected and adds so much. 19 Oct 2008 2:18pm beanow from PolandMiraculous fabulous place. Excellent of image! Let that Nikon keep doing its thing. 19 Oct 2008 11:33pm Liang from San Francisco, United StatesVery nicely composed. Like the tilt of the tree and the rooftop in the background. Very relaxing and peaceful image. 20 Oct 2008 12:03am akarui from Kagoshima, JapanI love the atmosphere given by those trunks and the mapple leaves in the foreground. I would suggest to crop 1/4 of the picture on the right and having the main trunk starting in an angle. The composition should be stronger but give it a try... 20 Oct 2008 2:37am @akarui: Thanks for the visit and the comment. I agree the composition isn't too strong, so your suggestion is a good one. I was just so overwhelmed by the GREEN that I didn't pay as close attention to the composition. Thanks again. Jon from United StatesWow, absolutely beautiful. The way the structure is nestled in the trees gives it a fantasy feeling. I'd like to stand there...gorgeous. 21 Oct 2008 12:41pm Doris Doppler from AustriaA wonderful shot! I think everything has already been said. Yes, the composition could be stronger but the green tones and all those diagonal lines make it a very interesting picture nonetheless. Great job! 21 Oct 2008 1:42pm Stu from Kyoto, JapanSimply wonderful. You('re Nikon!) really managed to capture the atmosphere. ;-) 22 Oct 2008 5:10am Anita from West Nottingham, United StatesLush.
