jamesy from christchurch, New Zealandbeautiful I love the sunlight on the trees in the foreground 9 Sep 2008 7:23am Mirko Herzner from Mühlheim am Main, GermanyYou are back with your beautiful greens :-) Stunning! What's this building? 9 Sep 2008 10:13am @Mirko Herzner: Thanks for your visit and the comment. The building is part of the Tenryuji Temple (天龍寺) complex in Kyoto's Arashiyama district. The temple is a UNESCO World Heritage site and you can read more about it here. payam from tehran, IranWOW , so beautiful GJC , that lonely house hiding behind the trees , the light up there on the trees, the sky line , everything is beautiful really . 9 Sep 2008 11:27am Monique from Koh Samui, ThailandA really great composition ... the blue temple stands out beautiful against the hill in the background and the 9 Sep 2008 1:05pm hugo poon from hong kong, Hong KongInspiring! In fact, my camera (not me) does green really well. Before I bought the Nikon d300 I rarely tried greens because my older camera (a wonderful Lumix) didn't do greens well, but did wonderful blues and purples. Anyway, now because of how well my Nikon does green I find myself trying them more than before. Anyway, I can't take any credit. It's just a good camera. Howard F. from South Pasadena, Calif., United StatesThis is like a scene in a video game- a hidden castle waiting for your visit. Beautiful and crisp shot. 9 Sep 2008 6:26pm Disoriented from Grinnell, IA, United StatesWow! Another beautiful shot! Are all these shots in the same area or different spots? 9 Sep 2008 10:03pm @Disoriented: Thanks for your comment and for coming by the blog so often. My shots are mostly taken in the area near where I live, called Iwakura (岩倉). It is in the upper northern part of Kyoto. Yet of course I do get out and wander about other parts of the city, and this shot is from the far west. signature103 from Hiroshima, JapanLike old Chinese ink paintings. The humble house among nature. Your question about the design - it is the standard photoblog (only one) for Wordpress. I actually hadn't (or can't) tweaked any of the design elements. So congratulate Wordpress, not me, for that. I prefer Wordpress's design to Aminus3 but I love the community nature of Am3. Wordpress is still a platform for text blogging not photoblogging. 9 Sep 2008 11:40pm Will from Gainesville, United StatesI love how you captured the rooftop...love how it just peeks out:) 12 Sep 2008 2:36am |
