Late afternoon the light is on its best and you've captured it great! The house is really lovely and romantic in this surrounding. Is this the normal Japanese architecture on the country?

@Monique: Thank you for your comment and for your visit. This is an older style of house, a kind which I favor. There are of course many more modern homes throughout Kyoto, but I find them very unremarkable both in style and grace. So you will see only the older houses on this blog because I so much enjoy their history and their strength and grace.
I sometimes think I don't give a very accurate picture of Kyoto life, but then I decide that I'm not doing this blog to be a documentary of Kyoto, but just things I like here. Thanks again for your interest.
