Yes, this is quite similar to your Japan shots... For me it's street signs. I really like shoting the street signs of a lot of places I visit... Seems even more strange than your obsession ;-)

Somehow it reminds me of your Kyoto shots, but my first thought was that it looks much more western than your other images. I like a lot the door and the window with all the lines here. Wouldn't it be a great landscape too because of the horizontal lines? And yes, very often I have the impulse to take the same photo again and again and I try to avoid it for any reason. But you are right. Why not?! Thanks!

I just clicked on this image intending to work my way backwards through your blog to catch up. My first thought was: this looks familiar but sure isn't Japan! I love that you are taking similar photos in different countries. Bringing a slightly different perspective to western architecture gives it a refreshing look.
As to stories of taking the same photo over and over again--well, I seem to be doing that with flowers! I love flowers and love taking photos of them.

I think to some extent we all do that. There are certain subjects/compositions/themes that speak to us. I see it repeated in my images as well.
