The gate stands in beauty.......the brilliant red is in such pleasant contrast to the greys of the stone touched by moss. A composition that draws the eye!

there is a strong and peaceful energy in this shot. as well as echoing the colour comments above, I think it has something to do with the trapezoids in the composition and the bracketing of the man-made structure with the rocks and moss and trees of nature. this shot has pleasing patterns and balance.
