Carp can be really large and they are indeed happy at the surface so you can get nice pictures that your are. Well done

Just caught up with your last few photos. I decided to comment on this one as it is a bit different from your usual ones. I like the position of the carp in relation to the rock. Visually pleasing.

@Anita: Thanks for your visits and for your comment. I was quite pleased that you liked this and that you recognized it was quite different for me (relatively speaking). It was one of many I took and just happened to get lucky in the particular configuration in this one. I was immediately pleased with it and yet it somehow -- I'm not sure exactly -- does feel a little different from what I usually do. Thanks for being such a careful and faithful observer.

nice composition. I especially like the sharp focus on the tiny details of the plants and the bokeh of the carp in the background. there's great energy and balance to this shot.
