Summer Rice Field

This is the lot next to my apartment. I love walking by here every day to and from work and watching the swallows dart overhead, the tadpoles become frogs, and the dragonflies show off their flying skills. Best of all is watching the slow development of the rice itself, from pale seedlings to strong, tall and vibrant green, and understanding more clearly all the hard work that goes into making the delicious rice we enjoy every day.
