Illuci from Hurdegaryp, NetherlandsAh, there is your style again! Great composition, with clear reference to roof- and wall structure differences! A pity however that the left hole (window) is almost cut off by the edge of the picture. But this is only my visual brains. 21 Apr 2008 8:49am Tracey from White Hall, United StatesWindows! My favorite :0) I really love the "shelf" over the top of both. Interesting! 21 Apr 2008 12:14pm akarui from Kagoshima, JapanI like those 2 different shape windows. Is it a chinese architecture? 21 Apr 2008 1:43pm @akarui: Thanks for stopping by. This was taken about 20 minutes from my house and is a Japanese storehouse or "kura" (倉). Observing from Chester, United KingdomVery well composed, and nice color, good work again. 21 Apr 2008 3:48pm Ronnie 2¢ from London, United KingdomI so admire how you take the geometry inherent in these structures and compose an image so perfectly at rest. Very well done, 21 Apr 2008 4:44pm Ron from Saint Louis, United StatesBeautiful composition with the roof cap and undulating tiles giving the image depth and dimension – almost appears as a three-dimensional item. The two windows and their individual overhangs are exquisite. And finally the rich, dark texture of the wood along the bottom compliments all other elements so beautifully. The tones (while muted) are lovely throughout. A beautiful image! 21 Apr 2008 6:55pm standley from brou-sur-chantereine, FranceBeautiful composition. I like the light/shadow play. 21 Apr 2008 7:09pm danthro from Suburbia, United Statesgreat framing and light. like the detail too. 21 Apr 2008 8:13pm Chris from South Jersey, United StatesWonderful mix of textures, shapes, and colors (makes for a very interesting image). I would agree that including the full round window would make it a little bit stronger, by including the entire window and moving the rectangular window towards the edge a bit. 21 Apr 2008 8:58pm Damon Schreiber from Toronto, CanadaI love the muted tones here, and the off-square lines add complexity. 25 Apr 2008 3:48am Melissa W. from Warsaw, Indiana, United StatesGreat composition. I really like the tones and the detail of the tile and ornate windows, but my favorite part has to be the beautiful wood along the bottom. 25 Apr 2008 1:49pm drphoto from Newcastle upon Tyne, United KingdomAnother good composition, I like the wood along the bottom balancing the roof tiles.
