I saw this morning on NHK the weeping cherries at Heian Jingu! That garden is one of my favourites!Which palace is this one here, the Imperial one? The silhouettes of these cherries are such challenging sculptures!

Daring green, I have to get used to it, but it gives it the appearance of a modern piece of art. Great work. BTW about the small houses: the upper floor is only used as an attic, people don't live there, and the houses are only used by 1- or 2-persons' households. They are rather expensive because they are attractive, so in the traditional centre of the town!

The way that the pink and green are connected by the twisted trunk and boughs of the tree really makes for a very graphic strong image!
