Last in a series of three, in homage to the great shin-hanga (新版画) woodblock artists Hasui (巴水) and Yoshida Hiroshi (吉田博).

The white umbrellas are such a contrast to the rainy grays. This is an excellent image.

Really enjoyed this series. This is my favourite. I love the lines and how they lead you into the picture. Have to agree about the white umbrellas comment too!

This is a nice picture. The wet pavement with the lines, the stone wall with the green plants, then the trees with the yellow wall and the 2 women of course with a red coat and white umbrellas making a really good contrast. Well done GJC. May be a little crop of the bottom if you want it...just a little below the bottom end of the last diagonal would be perfect for me :)

Beautiful contrast in textures. I like the loooooong, vertical perspective and hadn't thought about it needing to be cropped until I read "akarui's" suggestion. I agree with the suggestion…that would take the eye (traveling along the sidewalk) right out of the frame. Nevertheless, a beautiful tribute!
