Love the darkness on the right too. You've really captured the softness here. 16 Mar 2008 12:08pm Illuci from Hurdegaryp, NetherlandsI like the use of natural materials in simple forms as ancient Japanese style so often shows. Looking at this photo, I feel the inclination to crop away the right dark rectangle to make a square picture, but a second look tells me that it's more or less a repetition of the dark square at the right, and gives the picture openness just like the light borders of the dark square show that there is space behind. Fantastic composition! 16 Mar 2008 1:09pm Bonj from Jefferson City, United StatesI agree with others, nice angle, lighting, shadows, perspective. 16 Mar 2008 2:38pm Richard_Irwin from Belper, United KingdomEven though the image is without people, what comes across to me is the very sense of all the people who walk in the temple hall, it is a feeling of light footfall, and much reverance. A beautiful shot once again. 16 Mar 2008 9:00pm farmermarn from Baltimore, United StatesWhat I admire is your ability to continually find something new in this temple. 17 Mar 2008 1:15am drphoto from Newcastle upon Tyne, United KingdomYou have a unique vision and, fortuntately, the mastery to communicate it. I envy your eye for such details. Tell me that you are really, really old so I can believe I have time to achieve this lol! Dan 17 Mar 2008 6:25am Ronnie 2¢ from London, United KingdomI so admire hoe you have allowed the shadows to make this photograph for you . . I just love how it all comes together. 17 Mar 2008 9:13pm Lucca from Cologne, GermanyLight, shadow, different kind of wood and the white space in the middle – wonderful.
