akarui from Kagoshima, JapanBeautiful light showing architectural details. If it was my picture, as I don't mind to keep the size of the camera, I would crop the white part at the bottom (for sure) and may be a little on the top too (?) to focus more on the main subject. Very well seen as usual. 7 Mar 2008 11:12am @akarui: Thanks for your suggestion. You may be right about that bottom strip of white. I'll have to give it a try. Thanks for commenting. Ron from Saint Louis, United StatesBeautiful harmony…it sings! I just love the warmth of that little swath of light illuminating the timbers. This deserves a frame and a place for display. Exquisite! 7 Mar 2008 12:27pm Richard_Irwin from Belper, United KingdomAn amazing change in colour, you really could not wish for more, superb. 7 Mar 2008 2:02pm Japanalia from Yokohama, KenyaI think that if you crop the white off the lowers side it will completely change the shot! I like it as it is! It has a subtle elegance that made me sigh! 7 Mar 2008 2:44pm yiannis krikis from thessaloniki, Greecethe light is excellent in this image - I like the contrast between the warm light and the cool shadow 7 Mar 2008 4:55pm hwalk from Utah, United StatesWonderful focus to it. I agree with the cropping suggestion, because that warmness of light on the wood is really beautiful. 7 Mar 2008 6:12pm farmermarn from Baltimore, United StatesI have to say that I don't think the lower white should be cut off. If you do that all of the white is vertical. It is nice to have the counterpoint of that horizontal white band against all the vertical ones. M 7 Mar 2008 6:47pm @farmermarn: Thanks for your comment and for coming by. I like your point. I had originally included the lower band of white because I liked that additional splash of light there. Either way, aren't these good choices to have? Melissa from Warsaw, Indiana, United StatesOkay, I'll deposit my 2¢ regarding the crop...I completely agree with Farmermarn and that it should remain as is. However if you should crop it, only crop out the small thin vertical strip on the bottom left corner. Love the composition and the magical light. I agree with Ron, this should be framed and displayed. Beautiful job! 8 Mar 2008 12:03am danthro from Suburbia, United Statessimple but beautiful. nice capture the of the beauty of simple light and shadow patterns. 8 Mar 2008 1:17am |
