Most lovely effect of the red torii in a landscape covered by snow.And the sunlight filtering through branches gives the atmosphere some feeling of warmth. A very beautiful capture!

Beautiful! I took some shrine shots as well, in Kamakura in Autumn... But the effects are nowhere as lovely as the winter shots you took..... *jealous jealous*...... XD

I really like the intimacy to t.his one GJC.....the splash of red in amongst the snowy garden scenery is lovely.

Very beautiful- the red against the snow. I am wishing the red was a little sharper. Maybe sharpness is my obsession this week (I had a lot of wishing for more sharpness in my own photos as well).
Very nice use of foreground, middle and back to create depth and I like that these elements overlap.

Those red toori which contrast with the forest and snow is very nice. I like the big leaves covered by snow in the foreground too.

I just love this image. The red really pops out! Great capture! Say, in photoshop, you could get rid of those green bits in the background and just have the black, white, and red. I might also crop it a bit at the bottom so the shrine is a bit more off center. But, having said all of that....it is a WONDERFUL image, very well seen. Peaceful and serene.
