Stunning compo, that lone figure in the background is wonderful...and the way it's framed is really well done, it gives you the feeling that you can get out of the cold
I am so struck by the way that these pictures so so much green under the snow. I miss the green so much in the winter. Is this just the way gardens are designed in Japan? (with plenty of evergreen?)

@farmermarn: Thanks for your comment. Indeed, the Japanese garden is mostly evergreens so except for spring (the cherry trees!) and fall (the maples!) the garden looks relatively similar all through the year.
Nice picture showing falling snow. The perspective brings you to the door-window with the red carpet in front and it seems that there is a woman enjoying the view on the garden. I feel the red spot near the right border a bit distracting. I really like that you have include the front fence to balance the roof but I would have crop a little the top as I find it a little big in comparaison.
Note: an other option would be to let the roof as it is and make a big crop of the bottom excluding all the fence and nearly all the water. What do you think?

@akarui: Thanks very much for your constructive criticism. I hadn't noticed it well, but you are absolutely right that the red on the right does seem a little distracting. I should have noticed when I was taking the picture. And I think some cropping (preferably at the top, because I like the "V" shape that results from the roof and the rail) would definitely help. Thanks for taking time to write.
I can only say: "Aahhh", so impressively quiet and harmonious! The red bar moves the eye to the kneeling woman, I see myself in the corner of the camera.
